We are raising the standard of amateur team competition.

Both the Gross and Net National Champions will receive 2027 Masters Tournament badges.

A national title.

A trip to Augusta.

Limited to 40 teams, the AGT Series National Championship returns for its 6th edition — the culmination of a season designed to identify the best two-player teams in the country.

Sixteen teams will earn priority access through official qualifiers. Remaining positions will be released in limited allocations throughout the season.

The season concludes in October. The reward extends far beyond it.

Event Details

Travel & Accommodations

Big Cedar Lodge has traditionally required on-property accommodations for groups accessing its championship courses.

For the 2026 AGT National Championship, that requirement has been waived. Teams may stay at the resort or arrange accommodations independently.

Players are responsible for their own travel and lodging arrangements.

Who's Eligible to Compete

• No membership required for participation; AGT Profile Required for registration
• Open to all players with active amateur status
• No handicap required for Gross Division
• Net Division requires a verifiable USGA Handicap Index
• Players without a verified handicap will compete as a 0.0 handicap

Tournament Pricing & Access

$2,000 per player | $4,000 per team

The 2026 National Championship is limited to 40 two-player teams (80 players).

• 16 teams will earn priority access through eight official AGT qualifying events
• Public Allocation #1: April 1 (10 teams)
• Public Allocation #2: July 20 (10 teams)
• Final Release: September 15 (remaining teams)

Qualified teams will receive a limited window to secure entry before unclaimed positions are released. Registration closes once the 40-team field is complete.

Tournament Format

2 Player Four Ball - 3 Round / 54 hole competition

Each player competes using their own ball. The lowest score on each hole counts toward the team total. Gross and Net divisions compete concurrently. Net scoring is calculated using 80% of each player’s course handicap.

Compete for both divisions — place in one.

Putting Championship

Get ready to test your putting skills on the legendary Tom Watson putting course in this stroke play showdown! Every player will have a chance to navigate the undulating greens and tricky breaks, where precision and a hot putter will make all the difference.
